Getting Started with GIFSA: Your Step-by-Step Checklist

Starting with GIFSA is easier than you might think.

Getting started with GIFSA takes five simple steps: get in touch or submit an Expression of Interest, meet with our team to talk through your goals, we confirm we're the right fit, we complete onboarding together, and your supports begin. You don't need to have all the answers. That's what we're here for.

New to the NDIS, new to GIFSA, or moving from another provider?

As a local disability service provider in the Goldfields-Esperance, we support people across the region from our offices in Kalgoorlie and Esperance.

If you're new to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), new to GIFSA, or moving from another provider, we'll walk you through every step.

Your checklist

  • Get in touch with our friendly team, or complete an Expression of Interest form.
  • Meet with us (and your family, guardian, advocate or other providers, if you'd like) so we can understand your goals, needs and preferences.
  • We'll check that GIFSA can provide the right supports, people and resources to meet your needs, and we'll tell you about other services in your area too.
  • If we're the right fit, we'll work with you on your supports, complete onboarding paperwork and agree when your supports will start.
  • Your supports begin, and our team will support you to work towards your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an NDIS plan before contacting GIFSA?

It helps, but it's not essential. If you're new to the NDIS, our team can talk you through what to expect and point you towards the right information to get started.

Can I switch to GIFSA from another provider?

Yes. We support people moving from other providers as well as people who are new to services altogether. We'll talk to you about your current supports and how a transition would work.

What areas does GIFSA service?

We support participants across the Goldfields-Esperance region, with teams based in Kalgoorlie and Esperance.
