Music and basketball are two of Kyle's favourite things. In just six months with GIFSA, he's started coming out of his shell, engaging more with his supports and finding a genuine excitement in his shifts.
I really enjoy spending time with my support workers, especially because we share some of the same interests. Now I really look forward to my shifts with GIFSA.
Joining in often starts with a lift. Our fleet, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles, helps participants get to activities and events reliably.
In a region as big as ours, reliable transport can be the difference between taking part and missing out. That is why GIFSA has invested heavily in our own vehicle fleet. Over 20 vehicles, including some that are wheelchair-accessible and modified, are built for the needs of people with disability, alongside a range of standard vehicles for participant use.
This matters in the Goldfields-Esperance, where wheelchair-compatible transport is limited and availability can be unreliable. Having our own fleet means our participants can count on getting to programs, appointments and community activities safely, comfortably and on time, wherever they need to go across the Goldfields-Esperance region.
